A friend asked me to join on one of her Wellness Wednesday’s to explain about my business. If you have a spare 15-20 minutes, grab a cuppa and watch the recording and if I can assist you with anything, please get in touch.
HMRC is reminding taxpayers that anyone who has difficulty paying their second 2019/2020 self-assessment payment on account can defer the payment until 31 January 2021. Around 2.7 million taxpayers are eligible for deferral, of which 1.3 million are self-employed.

I am sure that 2020 isn’t how any of us anticipated it turning out to be, but we all need to stay positive and smile.
A smile can really make a difference, so when you are next out and about and someone is walking towards you, smile at them, as you don’t know how much happiness that can bring.
Stay positive, think positive, do positive and may you find moments that make you smile today!
Because positivity is so infectious, it naturally becomes a quality that other people want in their lives. Those of us who can keep a positive attitude in the face of tough times become an inspiration for everyone else.
4 years ago today I launched Really Useful PA. I didn’t know then how successful it would be and I would like to thank all of my clients old and new for helping my career become what it is today.
I love doing what I do and none of this would have been possible without any of my clients and also the continued support of my family and friends.
As the post says you are my extended family, and without you all my career would not have been possible.
Thank you again and I am looking forward to seeing what the next year will bring.
Never sure what to ask at the end of an interview?
Most interviewers do invite questions at the end of the interview. Even if they don’t, you must be ready with questions to ask an interviewer regarding the company and your job profile. Asking pertinent questions may impress your interviewer and up your chances of landing the job. However, don’t ask questions for the sake of asking them, since your interviewer will see right through you.
Please read below to see the 8 impressive questions that you can ask.
One month to go until launch of Making Tax Digital for VAT
The government is encouraging businesses to sign up for Making Tax Digital (MTD) as today (March 13) marks less than one month until the new HMRC initiative is introduced.
From April 1, businesses above the VAT threshold (over £85,000) will need to keep digital records and submit tax returns using MTD-compatible software.
The new service is designed to reduce the time spent on administration and provide an integrated approach to business and tax, with over 160 types of software products available to suit different functions and budgets.
According to government figures, almost 1.2m businesses have yet to register for the service, with approximately 30,000 businesses already signed up ahead of the launch.
Despite some positive feedback there’s a concern that not enough business owners are signed up or prepared to sign up for doing their VAT data collection and filing digitally. Some steps to ensure they are compliant may help.
