How can a Virtual Assistant help you?

With the unfortunate pandemic of COVID-19 and a lot more people having to work from home (or in self-isolation), rather than struggling alone and having longer to-do lists than normal, or your lifestyle admin building up, why not think about hiring a Virtual Assistant.

As a Virtual Assistant, I work in my own home office dealing with your daily tasks (and lots more) whilst keeping in communication with you via email, telephone or Zoom/Skype calls. If this sounds like something you would like to consider, why not give me a call or Contact Me to discuss your requirements.

Class 2 NI Contributions

With the HMRC tax deadline being this Friday, make sure you click to pay your Class 2 National Insurance contributions.

The Guardian recently reported a glitch in the self-assessment system which means your state pension could be affected if you don’t.

Never Give Up!

Never Give up! Winners are not people who never fail, but people who never quit.

Life is full of ups and downs and thinking about quitting is always easy to want to do, but don’t ever give up on your dreams.

My dream was to run a business and do what I enjoy. This is by helping others to run their business by taking away the parts they don’t need to be tied down with, allowing them more time to build their company in the way they dreamed.

Launch of Making Tax Digital for VAT

One month to go until launch of Making Tax Digital for VAT

The government is encouraging businesses to sign up for Making Tax Digital (MTD) as today (March 13) marks less than one month until the new HMRC initiative is introduced.

From April 1, businesses above the VAT threshold (over £85,000) will need to keep digital records and submit tax returns using MTD-compatible software.

The new service is designed to reduce the time spent on administration and provide an integrated approach to business and tax, with over 160 types of software products available to suit different functions and budgets.

According to government figures, almost 1.2m businesses have yet to register for the service, with approximately 30,000 businesses already signed up ahead of the launch.

Despite some positive feedback there’s a concern that not enough business owners are signed up or prepared to sign up for doing their VAT data collection and filing digitally. Some steps to ensure they are compliant may help.
